Summer Vacation Makeup: Fiji

Last month I went to Fiji for our honeymoon. For makeup and skincare I knew I wanted to keep things simple and pack light. I hate always looking for a ziploc bag for flying so I picked up a Muji Clear Case that I've already used a few times for travel. The clear pouch is TSA approved and the perfect size. I use it regularly even if I'm not flying and the clear bag makes it a lot easier to find my products. I also brought a small makeup bag for the rest of my products. This was a great time to pack minis and use up some products you've been trying to finish.

I wanted to highlight the things I used most. I didn't want to wear a lot of makeup during this trip so I only brought concealer and no foundation. I brought the Dermablend concealer that I love (it's pretty heavy coverage but it does wonders!) Then the most important thing to bring was SPF to protect my face and I brought a mini of the Supergoop! City Suncreen Serum SPF 30 PA +++.  I really like this product and will consider repurchasing this once I finish the mini I have. It's a great SPF that doesn't feel sticky or heavy on the skin. It's protects your skin from the sun and is a multitasking repair serum. Amazing.

I never left our bure without doing my eyebrows. For that I relied on my trusty Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. This stuff is just my favorite. The packaging feels really luxe and I like the weight it has to it. It's got a flat waxy nib that is easy to fill in the gaps in my brows and the color looks very natural. For cheeks I did bring one blush: Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels. I love the way this looks on the cheeks. It's a bright peachy color that really flatters your skin tone and makes your face look really young and fresh.

Other skincare things I packed that I've talked about before were a mini bottle of Bioderma for removing makeup, the Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector, and I did pack the La Roche-Posay Effaclar K in case any spots decided to pop up.

Finally I did enjoy wearing a little lipstick now and then in the evenings for dinner and going out. I had purchased the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #15 Corail Intuitive for my wedding and that is pretty much the only lipstick I wore the entire time. It's a gorgeous sheer peachy pink color that is super comfortable to wear on the lips and beautiful for every day.

Whew that seemed like a lot of things but I seriously tried to keep it quite simple. I didn't even bring mascara since I got eyelash extensions for the wedding. That was really nice and kept removing makeup at the end of the day very easy.
