Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara
I was in Flushing a few weekends ago for dinner and there are quite a few asian beauty stores that have good discounted prices. I was wondering the aisles when I saw they had the Fairy Drops mascara range and since I've heard this is really popular in Japan and that it works really well with stubborn straight Asian lashes... I had to pick one up. I didn't do that much research at the time and decided to go with the Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara in Black. The packaging doesn't have much English on it but it did say it was Water Resistant (not proof) and since I hate taking off waterproof mascara I thought that would be interesting to try.
The mascara has a really interesting wand. It has three little bobbles that are supposed to catch even the shortest of lashes. They are also supposed to distribute the product in triangle bunches at the root of your lashes and then the wand is suppose to push up the product to the tips. For me, the mascara is quite wet and definitely does build up a lot of volume and length. I hear the mascara gets better after it's more dry. It doesn't look clumpy for me though and I like how thick your lashes look. It gives your lashes a pretty dramatic look. It does not hold my curl though which I was pretty disappointed about. But! It is very easy to remove at the end of the night so for every day I'm not really complaining. And it does not come off onto my face or rub. I do, however, have the Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara on my wishlist because it has WAY MORE reviews online and it is waterproof. Stay tuned for that...
