Top 5 Favorites Lipsticks of 2014
2014 was the year of lipsticks for me. I was never a lipstick person... until this past year. And the addiction came quick. I own so many lip products now it's hard to keep track.
MAC Cremesheen in Peach Blossom is my favorite everyday shade. There are a lot of MAC lipsticks that I am really fond of but I always found myself going back to this one for everyday. It's a nice girl creamy nude pink that is really sweet and flattering. It's definitely always in my handbag.
MAC x Proenza Schouler lipstick in Mangrove is my favorite Red. It's an orange tone red which I think looks amazing with my skintone and is great for spring/summer. I love the packaging for all the MAC x Proenza Schouler products as well so it just makes me really happy whenever I use this lipstick.
MAC Satin in Rebel is my favorite Fall and Winter lipstick. It's just super sexy and rich and makes any look interesting. It's also very versatile because you can lightly dab the lipstick to create a wash of color or stain on the lips, or apply it full on to create a vampy dark pout. Amazing.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #15 was the lipstick I wore on my wedding day. It's the most sheer lipstick out of the 5, and it's just such a beautiful peachy pink flattering and moisturizing shade. It's a shade I don't really have to look into a mirror to apply because it doesn't get on my teeth or apply patchy. I wore it all throughout summer and the packaging alone is incredible. I mean, I wore this on my wedding day... what else can I say?
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 107 was my drugstore lipstick. It's about $4 and really packs a punch. Its got amazing pigmentation for a drugstore lipstick and is very long lasting. I loved this berry shade and overall just really fell in love with berry shade lipsticks all year long. At first I thought the scent smelled powdery and wasn't really into it, but with time now when I apply the lipstick, I really look forward to that powdery smell!!
