The Perfect Base
I recently hauled the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation and let me tell you, I have worn nothing else because this stuff looks and feels amazing and I feel like it just makes my skin look like my skin but better! Way, way better! First of all, can we just appreciate the pretty packaging? I feel very satisfied each morning just looking at this on my bathroom counter. I have the shade 44 Golden Medium, and it's a pretty spot on yellow based match for me. I love that it's oil free and lately I'm just really into gel based foundations because they have a nice natural look to them. It's very hydrating and sits really comfortably on the skin. It's a great buildable base and I think it looks great just with 1 coat because then I go in with my new Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer that is super creamy and easy to blend! I haven't been using this for too long and I'm already hooked.
Finally, I set everything with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. I've been using this forever and it just a tried and true favorite.
