Current Drugstore Favorites
Recently I have been really enjoying drugstore makeup! As you can see I'm nearly done with my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. It's so easy to use and really brightens my under eye area. I cannot leave the house in the morning without applying it. I have the shade, Light. Next is an every day slap on base, the Revlon Age Defying CC Cream. I picked this up in the summer because I wanted an every day base that had a good SPF. This has SPF 30 so I know I'm protecting my skin when I wear it. It's quite sheer and easy to wear. For blush I love this Cargo Water Resistant Blush. Blush tends to be the first thing that disappears on my face but blush definitely has lasting power. I have this beautiful shade, Los Cabos, which is an ideal peachy pink with golden shimmer.
My two favorite drugstore lip products have been the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Nude Delight and the NYX butter lip balm in Red Velvet. Ever since the Lisa Eldridge x Alexa Chung tutorial, I have been obsessed with the shade she used on Alexa herself: the Rimmel lipstick in Nude Delight. These lipsticks are really creamy and for a drugstore lipstick, they're pretty dang good. And I'm not the biggest fan of this NYX lip balm color, but I am a huge fan of the formula. I got this in my ipsy bag last month and the formula and amazing and I want to try it in different shades! I definitely wish I had it in something more every day... might be picking that up soon!
