April Favorites

I spent half of this month in Beijing and wore the same eye makeup almost every day. That combo was the By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Misty Rock and Lancome Definicils Waterproof Black Mascara. I've been obsessed with the By Terry eyeshadow stick for a few months now. The color is just so flattering and the formula doesn't crease and lasts all day so it's a win win for me! I picked up the mascara at the beginning of the month after browsing the Lancome counter one day... the sales associate told me this was their top seller and I hadn't tried it so I decided to give it a go. I really like the way this makes my lashes look. The wand is pretty good, not my absolute favorite, but it's still pretty thing which is usually the kind of wand I like. The mascara is super black and it doesn't clump even when I do 3 coats.

I started using the Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation about 2 weeks ago now and I've used it every single day since I got it (except for 1 day when I tried out the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint!) I wasn't expecting a whole lot really but I did start to see a lot of buzz from other beauty blogs about this foundation. I got the shade 106 Sun Beige and it's a pretty spot on match for me. The foundation looks matte after applied and has a pretty good medium coverage. I like that it still looks pretty natural and skin-like even though it's matte. I also like that it seriously lasts throughout the day. I've noticed with other foundations by mid-afternoon my t-zone will be a shiny shiny mess but with this foundation I barely need to powder! I'm super impressed and will keep using it into May!

For some reason this month I decided to start wearing lip liners. Since my skin tone is a little darker, my natural lip color is a bit darker and actually two different tones. I loved using the Rimmel Lip Liner in Eastend Snob to just even out my lip color and make it look extra full. It was subtle and the color is really natural and pretty. I actually really enjoyed wearing it on its own and I quite like that sticky dry feeling it leaves on your lips.

For my hair, I'm so happy I found the Joico Color Balance Blue shampoo. I did a whole review here so you can read that so see why I love it so much!

Finally, I've been wanting the Sonix iphone case in the cactus pattern for the longest time but I still have the iphone 5S and it only came in the iphone 6 size. Well, this month they released the case in the iphone 5S size and I ordered it immediately. Unfortunatley I think they already sold out of the 5 size (I just checked their website) but I've been obsessed and every time I look at my phone it makes me super happy!
