Summer Lipstick Favorites
I love lipsticks all year round. I used to only wear tinted lip balms and glosses in the summer but now I've completely converted to almost lipstick only! I love adding a pop of bright color because it can completely change the whole vibe of your look. I wanted to share with you my favorite 5 lipsticks I've been wearing this summer! (Swatched from left to right!)
1. La Bella Donna Lipstick in Beloved
This is currently my favorite nude/slightly pink lipstick. I have to have this in my handbag at all times because it's the perfect lipstick to throw on to make my lips look fuller, richer and just make my makeup look more put together. It's on the more matte side as well but still moisturizing and glides on really smoothly and evenly. This has just been my favorite every day lip color and it looks so sophisticated on the lips!
2. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Let's Get Naked
If I want a more fun, young but also still on the more neutral side, I go for this lipstick. It's a brighter pinky/coral/nude that is a bit more sheer and glossy. The lipsticks are formulated with hyaluronic acid so they're super moisturizing.
3. Mac Lipstick in Plumful
I love love love berry toned lipsticks. My summer version is MAC Plumful. It's really wearable and I think it suits so many different skin tones! Since I get quite tan in the summer it's not that dark on me so I think it just looks really chic.
4. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in In Love With Ginger
As I mentioned earlier, lipsticks can completely change your look. Bright orangey red lipsticks are one of my favorite shades to wear in the summer. I love pairing a bright full orange red lip with super minimal eye makeup and lots of lashes. This shade is a bright glossy orangey red that I wear straight from the bullet. It's also super comfortable feeling on the lips and it's not as long lasting as my next pick but the color payoff is absolutely gorgeous!
5. Mac x Proenza Schouler Lipstick in Mangrove
If I want something that will last me all day, I go for this lipstick. It's incredibly matte and opaque so I know it won't budge. I usually like to layer it on, using the blotting technique in between to make sure that it really stains and stays on my lips. I also like to pair it with any red lip liner that I have laying around. I always get complimented when I wear this shade and I also love that it's a collab between MAC and Proenza Schouler!
