Maybelline Color Molten Review

I picked up the Maybelline Color Molten Eyeshadow in Taupe Craze on a random outing this week because I was really drawn to the color combination and the cute packaging. I thought it looks really nice for a drugstore price. I thought the left matte shade looked like a really nice transition shade and the right shimmery shade would look beautiful all over the lid. I was really excited to create a look using these two shades together.

I was surprised by the formula. I thought it was going to be dry eyeshadow formula and didn't realized it was going to be a creamy consistency. I thought that was pretty cool because I don't really own a creamy eyeshadow quad. I do think the colors are really pretty but I think the payoff is a little weak. It took me a few coats to get the opacity I liked and the right shimmery shade wasn't as shimmery as I hoped. And sadly, without any primer on your lids, the eyeshadows don't really last well in the summer heat. But I will continue giving this a go just because I really do like the colors and the convenience of having my lid and transition eyeshadow in one handy little palette.
