Skincare Empties Part 1
I have used up so many products lately (all skincare) that I had to break this into two posts! First I finally finished using my Jurlique Lavender Hydrating Mist. When I first got it, I was using it as an afternoon pick-me-up and in any occasion that my skin was feeling tired or dry. Then I started using it as my toner. It really wakes up the skin in the mornings and feels very luxurious to apply. I'm not sure it did anything except moisturize my skin so I won't be repurchasing this but it was nice to try out.
I finished 3 moisturizers! First, I finished the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat moisturizer. This one is unlike any moisturizer I had tried before. It's much thicker and feels like a film on the face (a little similar to the Benefit Porefessional). It is super matte though and takes away shine right away! On the opposite side of the spectrum, I also finished up the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting moisturizer. I found this one great for P.M. use and the Effaclar Mat moisturizer great for A.M. worn under makeup. I love the way this Origins one smells and I have already repurchased it!
One more moisturizer I finished (awhile ago) was the Aesop Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream. This feels thicker than the Origins one. The Origins one almost has more of a gel texture while this one feels more like a thick cream. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent but it did feel great on the skin and kept it very moisturized during the winter months.
Two serums I finished were the Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum. This was a deluxe sample size but I didn't see a huge difference in my skin. Maybe I need to use it longer, but I have yet to find a product that has really wowed me in terms of brightening or lifting dark spots. And I finished the REN ClearCalm3 Replenishing Night Serum. I bought this to help soothe my angry acne skin. It was a nice step to add at night and it felt nice on the skin but I'm not sure I woke up with noticeably clearer skin. It did leave my face feeling very moisturized.
