Skincare Empties Part 2
Here is part 2 of Empties #12. First I have been a long time fan of the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. I can't believe I actually finished the thing! If you're like me and you have oily skin than you should invest in a good charcoal mask and this one is a great starter one. The activated charcoal helps draw out all the gunky stuff under your skin to help reveal smooth clean skin. Like I said, I'm a big fan of charcoal masks.
I found the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion quite late in the game, but it's some serious acne fighting stuff. I apply this with a cotton bud and afterwards my face is an attractive pink polka dotted mess but this stuff works! It completely dries out your pimples and in the morning your face looks much less scary than before. Another acne treatment favorite of mine that I mention all the time is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo and I finished another bottle of this stuff. Good good stuff.
The Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads were quite a treat for myself when I purchased them because they aren't cheap but you do get 100 pads and they last for a long time. I loved these and used them as my toner after I cleansed at night. They are super gentle on the skin and make you feel super clean and bright. Not sure I would repurchase but it was a nice little treat.
I went through a phase this summer where I realized I wasn't using the right cleanser for my skin type. Therefore I went out and got the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser. This stuff is reasonably priced and I think it was a great foaming gel cleanser for oily skin. It's super gentle and mild and never irritated my eyes or skin. It also contains 2% salicylic acid which helps with acne. And finally I used up the Aesop Purifying Exfoliant Paste. I kept this in the shower and used it a few times a week to exfoliate the skin. It was an interesting scent but it did feel amazing on my skin and made my face feel super smooth.
